CHOOSEFI
Episode 30
An interview with Alan Donegan about how to start a business or side hustle. This is truly inspiring and I've listened to it multiple times. Donegan started the PopUp Business School which has the goal of helping people "start-up their own businesses, doing what they love."
ChooseFI is probably my favorite podcast and you must subscribe!

JOURNEY TO LAUNCH
Episode 38
Jamila Souffrant interviews an accountant. This episode is full of great tidbits for optimizing your taxes as a business. Jamila's podcast is great overall, I highly suggest you subscribe.

MONEYSPLAINED
Episode 6
Check out this short series podcast for tons of ideas, but this particular episode is chock full of ideas and suggestions for newly started businesses. They haven't come back with a new episode in a while, but I did ask the creator on twitter, and she said more episodes are in the works.

NPR SERIES
Rise of the Contract Worker
A series of articles and radio shorts including poll data on the rising contractor workforce

ALL UP IN YA BUSINESS
YouTube Channel
Confused about what type of business to form or about something related to the legality of running your own side hustle? This is the YouTube channel for you! I love the way host Aiden breaks it all down in a simple, understandable format.

WHAT IF IT DOES WORK OUT?
Book
I read this book on a plane ride. It's fairly short and sweet but also fairly inspiring and makes you really think about the freedom you can achieve by working for yourself.

INCOME & EXPENSE WORKSHEET
Google Sheet
Feel free to save and use this spreadsheet to keep track of your money coming in and money spent on your business. My accountant uses this in order to calculate my taxes owed.

FREE ONLINE TOOLS
Getting started and need a little help? Here are some free tools to help you out!

CANVA
Online Graphic Design Tool
I absolutely adore this tool. There is a paid version as well, but I've found the free version to work well for my needs. Use it to create stunning social media posts and perhaps a logo (if you decide you need one!)

UNSPLASH
Beautiful Free Images
Searching for an image to use in that lovely social media post you're working on? Look no further, because Unsplash has a collection of creative commons licensed photos that's easy to search and extensive.

THUMBTACK
Services Website
Want to find an accountant or lawyer to help you get started with your business? I used Thumbtack to find my accountant. It has an extensive database of service people with reviews and is completely free, unlike Angie's List. Hey, Yelp is great for restaurants, but if you want to find someone professional, this is your website.
